What to Expect at Your Child’s Pediatric Visit in Washington, DC

Spring Valley Pediatrics is committed to providing you the highest level of medical care.

Welcome to Spring Valley Pediatrics. If you are a new patient, here is what to expect from your very first visit.

Your child will see the same physician and nurse at every visit — sick or well. That means your doctor knows your child’s complete history from the very first appointment and can build on it at every visit that follows. Many of our board-certified pediatricians have each been named Washingtonian Top Doctors, and the practice was inducted into the Washingtonian Top Doctors Hall of Fame in 2026.

We are open 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. Same-day sick visits are available every day — call 202-966-5000 in the morning and we will schedule your child that day.

Dedicated to excellent infant, child, adolescent and young adult medical care.

Spring Valley Pediatrics is dedicated to providing excellence in all aspects of care. Well child visits will confirm your child’s good health as well as screen for growth and developmental problems. We offer same day acute care visits for all sick children. We will work with your schedule to find a convenient time for your appointment.

Convenient in-office laboratory

Spring Valley Pediatrics is committed to providing in-office laboratory services for our patients so that treatment plans may be expedited and individualized. There is no need to travel elsewhere for laboratory testing.

Patient Communication

Spring Valley Pediatrics physicians are unusually accessible. A doctor is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every weekday morning, your physician is available by direct phone during their call-in time — no messaging service, no waiting for a callback. See the Doctor Call-In Hours on our Contact page for each physician’s direct number and time.

Separate waiting rooms

Spring Valley Pediatrics has separate waiting rooms for newborns and their families. We also have separate waiting rooms for “Sick” and “Well” older children to minimize illness exposure. Our patients enjoy the large, very active fish tanks in each waiting room.

Admitting Privileges

Should your infant or child require hospitalization for medical care, the doctors in our practice admit patients to Children’s National Medical Center and Georgetown University Medical Center.

No extra fees

There are no charges to complete school and camp forms, after hour telephone calls, prescription refills or prenatal visits. We complete most camp and school forms at the time of your visit and no later than 48 hours after receiving the form.

Our goal at Spring Valley Pediatrics is to make your child’s experience as friendly and comfortable as possible, while giving you confidence that your child is receiving the best of pediatric care.
