Peter I. Warfield, MD, MPH, FAAP

A native Washingtonian, Dr. Warfield attended Episcopal High School in Alexandria. Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond and went on to complete a Masters of Public Health at the George Washington University. Prior to medical school, Dr. Warfield worked in public health and health education. He graduated from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. His Pediatric residency was at The Golisano Children’s Hospital at University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial hospital.

With a background in health promotion and disease prevention, Dr. Warfield emphasizes health education in his practice. He is especially interested in childhood development as well as sports medicine and adolescent medicine. Dr Warfield is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Washington, D.C., Osler Medical Society. He has been recognized as one Washington’s “Top Doctors” by The Washingtonian magazine. He currently serves as the Consulting Pediatrician for St. Albans School and Landon School.

Board Certified, Dr. Warfield maintains hospital privileges at Sibley Memorial Hospital and consulting relationships with Georgetown University Hospital and Children’s National Medical Center. He is now available for routine well and acute care visits for newborns through college age.

In his free time, Dr. Warfield enjoys cycling, sailing, cooking, co-leading a  Cub Scout den, and spending time with his wife and children. He looks forward to meeting you and your children and to forming healthy relationships that will benefit your children as they grow for years to come.
