Dr. Tara Mamdouhi
Dr. Tara Mamdouhi is a native of the Washington, D.C. area, having grown up in Potomac, Maryland, and attended Winston Churchill High School. She earned her B.S. with honors in Neurobiology and Physiology, with a minor in Spanish Language and Culture, from the University of Maryland, College Park. She received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and recognized with an award for Outstanding Community Service.
She returned to Washington, D.C. to complete her pediatric residency at Children’s National Hospital. She was selected for the Primary Care Track, which provided intensive outpatient training in primary care pediatrics. She also has extensive research experience and has presented her clinical research at numerous national pediatric conferences, including a recent project evaluating the use of telemedicine in pediatric primary care.
Dr. Mamdouhi is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She has held advisory roles with Georgetown Day School, Beauvoir, Lowell School, and Sheridan School. She is a member of the medical staff at Sibley Memorial Hospital and is also a member of the DC Osler Medical Society and Foxhall Women’s Physicians Association. She has been recognized as one of Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors in Pediatrics.
She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her fiancé and their dog, Copper. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, skiing, reading, exploring new restaurants, and traveling. She is available for routine and acute care visits and is excited to build lasting relationships with families while supporting their children’s health, growth, and development.
