Dr. Tara Mamdouhi

Dr. Tara Mamdouhi is a native Washingtonian, having grown up in Potomac, MD and attended Winston Churchill High School. She attended University of Maryland, College Park where she received a B.S. with honors in Neurobiology and Physiology, with a minor in Spanish Language and Culture. She earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where she was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society and was recognized with an award for Outstanding Community Service. She then returned to DC to complete her Pediatric Residency training at Children’s National Hospital. She was accepted into the Primary Care Track of her Pediatric Residency, which provided intensive outpatient experience in primary care pediatrics. Dr. Mamdouhi also has extensive research experience and has presented her clinical research at numerous national Pediatrics conferences, including most recently a project evaluating the use of telemedicine in pediatric primary care.

Dr. Mamdouhi is thrilled to be continuing her practice at Spring Valley Pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, exploring new restaurants and traveling. Dr. Mamdouhi is available for routine and acute care visits and is excited to develop long-lasting relationships with families to help support their children’s health and development.
